The independent front and rear suspension provides the Ford Explorer with an almost passenger-like driving character, and the sports suspension has become an invariable attribute of the "charged" Explorer Sport modification. The all-wheel drive system TerrainManagement 4WD System works in automatic mode, but it is complemented by the adaptation to road conditions (Terrain Management System), which allows you to switch between four operating modes: "Standard", "Dirt / Rut", "Sand", "Grass / Gravel / Snow ". It also allows you to activate the automatic hill stability control function. The vehicle's ground clearance of 211 mm will allow you to confidently move on moderate terrain. Safety systems for the 2016 Ford Explorer include airbags for the driver and front passenger, a knee airbag for the front passenger, front side airbags and side curtain airbags for all three rows of seats.
