Honda CR-V 2000 Red

Review of the car owner Honda CR-V 2000 highway -8-8.5 City - in summer 11 l / 100 km TV, DVD, CD changer, navigation, double pillows, there is ABS, anti-skid, traction control system normal, standard engine, 147 horses This is not a racing car or a jeep, although for some reason some people think so. Oddly enough, the definition that is written in the passport almost exactly fits it: an all-terrain station wagon, I would add - a family one. I'll try to justify: For a racing car, the CRV clearly lacks throttle response, while, paradoxically, it has enough power. In order to stay in the forefront when starting from traffic lights, it is necessary to press on the gas with all the foolishness. A picky Honda engine allows you to keep up in such races, but the weight of the body, especially if people are still sitting in the car, slows down a lot compared to the sedan. Somehow, for fun, I tried to drive in such a "pseudo-sport" mode, but the fuel consumption was about 20 liters per hundred kilometers. (Maybe someone doesn't care, but the toad crushes me) and mos Honda CR-V 2000 Red t importantly, there was no feeling of comfort with such a ride. The revs reached 5000 at start and acceleration, the engine screamed, although it pulled well, the pedal had to be pressed harder all the time than I was used to, in short, the car is clearly not intended for such races. At the same time, even a well-loaded car slowly but confidently accelerates, the speeds during smooth driving are switched clearly in the region of 2500 engine revolutions. It rides well uphill, while at a speed of 90-100 the gearbox does not switch to a lower gear, it just increases the revs a little. Before that, I had a korollka for a long time, the machine is very good, but when driving uphill, especially if there was a little load or 2 passengers, the box kept switching back and forth. Sometimes, on a loaded car, when I was driving on the highway, and I did not want to drop the speed below 90, when driving onto a hill, the box switched to 3, and then to 2 speed, the revs were about 5000. So, the CRV does not have this at all, the engine pulls very confidently. If necessary, you can chase and accelerate robustly when overtaking, the engine allows, but somehow there is no particular desire, the car itself, from my point of view, predisposes to a more calm and sedate driving. About jeep driving: although many CRVs call it a jeep, they do it through a misunderstanding, of course, this is not a jeep - despite the presence of the so-called antibuks and four WD's, it gets stuck quite easily (by jeep concepts, of course). One has only to drive into the mud deeper than 20-25 cm, the car easily sits on its belly and after that it can be pulled out only by a tug, no 4 WDs help. True, for objectivity, it should be noted that you have to be a complete moron to deliberately get into such shit. Again, many rightly note the lack of torsional rigidity - the lack of a frame affects, when driving on a hill, two wheels are easily hung out diagonally. But, at the same time, the lack of a frame is also an advantage - the weight of the CRV is almost the same as that of a passenger car. For the conditions of the city (the roads here, in Novosibirsk, are often complete shit, especially in spring), dachas and non-extreme trips to nature are quite enough cross-country. Also, it is quite possible to drive, if necessary, on curbs, broken asphalt, mud and snowdrifts, for such conditions the cross-country ability is quite sufficient, you can drive, especially without thinking, where any sedan does not even stick. After a while after changing to CRV, you stop noticing such obstacles, which are hardly surmountable for sedans. But we must remember that this is not a jeep, the CRV has an arch in the back, which outwardly looks very solid and strong, but in fact, when hitting an obstacle at a good speed, it easily folds and breaks. At the same time, the viscous coupling is still pulled out, and the car becomes front-wheel drive. The renovation is very expensive. In general, the machine successfully combines the qualities of a moderate SUV and a rather high-spirited sedan. At the same time, the capacity is beyond praise. You can probably transport an elephant in a car (only a small one). With outwardly small dimensions, surprisingly a lot of it fits into it, while there is still a place left, and the throttle response almost does not decrease. My car is far from being the first, although before that there were only https://jiji.ug/kampala/cars/honda-cr-v-2000-red-nGA6JsmdA1g8fCJP5yssMrog.html
